The last first-Friday opening of 2026 at the Town’s history museum in Crist Park, 5 to 7 pm, the evening before the Festival of Lights fills the same park. The exhibits, arranged by the Historic Preservation Committee, tell the story of the coal camp that became the town: a diorama of the original townsite, mining tools, a coal stove, the original mayor’s chair and old school desks. The Town’s page lists no admission charge; tours at other times go through the Town Clerk’s office, 720-382-5581.
