The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District runs its gymnastics program in a separate building at 6615 Frederick Way, with a full-sized competition floor, an in-ground tumble track that ends in a large foam pit, a cargo net, preschool equipment and the basic apparatus for boys’ and girls’ gymnastics. Classes run in twelve-week sessions from Parent Tot (ages 2 to 4) up to a competing girls’ team; open gym is by reservation in age slots on Friday mornings and Saturday at noon, $5 a visit for district residents and $7 for others. The building is closed on every district holiday, Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day included. Registration and private lessons: 303-833-2765.
